Women Swearing In Movies

was again a quiet week. On Wednesday, we have in the dorm a "Lord of the Rings" marathon organized and watched all three films in the extended version at a time. The whole lasted about 13 hours with little breaks, but was very funny. In Roppongi, we have found a nice bar, which we had a very nice view over the major intersection in this district. Today I was again in China Town in Yokohama and I have seen a temple dance that will bring luck for the new year or something like that. Let's see if it works!

I've also been looking for flights to Korea, but unfortunately they are quite expensive but in March and in April again favorable for the university is running again. I hope I can put it again somewhere in my time here, I've heard that Seoul is very beautiful and taste, of course, to the Korean food. In addition, accommodation and transportation in Korea are said to be very favorable.

defect content again what General, now on Japanese television:
first be said about this, I mainly watch TV in the dining room where we received no cable television, so only very few channels.

Almost every time the limited selection of shows to documentaries about food or places and game shows.

In the former, it's mostly about where in Japan it is the best ramen (or similar) is what is being offered for great food in such and such street or what crazy peculiarity of a small city in the middle of nowhere. Documentation is usually embedded in talk shows, which is why the typical Japanese small insertions of the faces of prominent guests to see, are very adept at surprising and interesting to watch. It is often among the celebrities then tuned even what food / which city on the wildest / craziest was, of course not by simple finger but with unnecessary electronics.

In contrast to what we used at home are also seen in the game shows just celebrities. Here in Japan it's not that you see a normal person who has the chance to win something. It's always just about the same old people to see, doing the same old faces and noises. (In women, the most popular is the surprise "Eeeeeeeehhhh?", In men, one often hears "Sugoi!", Which means "super, incredible, madness." Means.)

Although I hardly understand what on TV is thus spoken, I measured myself on a personal assessment of the Japanese mainstream humor to make. As irony in Japan is pretty much unknown and subtlety seem not the taste of the majority shall be accompanied at any joke with a completely exaggerated grimace and body posture or with light blows to the back of the head (see also Manzai ) of another. This can like it or not, personally annoys me about the constant of touch.

Indian Actress Pink Pitcher

Down Under - Welcome to the kangaroo-land

Hi,

after the first two busy weeks here in Sydney, I'm now a bit of time to find my blog on the latest state to take. My last few weeks have been marked by lots of new impressions, experiences and adventures. But first things first.

As I have already told the last time I was made my final trip through Indonesia to the north of the island of Sulawesi. Unlike the rest of Indonesia with 88% of Muslims live predominantly in North Sulawesi Christians, especially Protestants. After the flight to the provincial capital Manado (host of the World Ocean Conference 2009) I immediately made the trip to the island of Bunaken. There I have some quiet days with beautiful beaches, good food and relaxation spent lot '.

Next we went to the mainland in the Minahasa Highlands. This is one of the most fertile areas in Indonesia and known for its agriculture. There I was again cast on a still active volcano, along with bizarre ancient lakes, waterfalls and 800 years of grave stones. Not to mention the culinary delights of the region: dog! Which I was then served on the table where I gratefully refused him! :)

have
After 10 days on Sulawesi then I made a brief visit to Singapore. There, grad student, a friend from London, which I visited in this
opportunity. The sentiment that Singapore is "Asia for beginners" or Asia Light "I could immediately sign it. After half a year in Jakarta me this city was already almost clinically clean. You have to sometimes imagine that there chewing gums are banned nationwide from the government by law. Throughout Singapore is not a single gum, can ensure that the streets are not dirty. Even there, otherwise you can actually eat off the floor. Singapore is an absolutely remarkable City with many impressive skyscrapers but also cozy quarters. Due to the multi-ethnic population, small districts have been formed, where people gather in the same home and their culture, food, clothing, ... have brought. A walk through Little India, Chinatown or Arabic Street may already be a like a journey through different countries. Despite all the fascination, I was not unhappy to leave Singapore after 3 days. This city has too many rules and laws for me. A totalitarian regime that the personal freedom in many areas of life restricts ........ not least when chewing gum! For that I love very much to the casual freedom that I have experienced in Indonesia and Ecuador.

was called on it then 13.Feb: DOWN UNDER, I COME! !

And here it was then also in rapid succession. On Saturday morning, arrived at the hostel, looking for apartments at noon on the Internet, identified a site visit for the Sunday and immediately snapped. There are students who have after 2 weeks still nothing Nocht found ....
I have a small, but nice room in an apartment and live together with a 73 year old Australian. He's really cute and we get excellent. In addition, another German resident in the apartment that was doing her PhD in Sydney.
've Following the successful apartment search, I then in the last 2 weeks bought a bike at an auction (very amuessante experience) that Surferstraende of Sydney made uncertain and met many new friends at orientation events of the university. My university (University of Technology Sydney) has a permanent subscription to the price of the ugly high-rise building in Sydney. Looks really awful from the outside. :)

more about the university and my life in Sydney is the next time Today much to tell and I hope it was not too long?

Best regards from the other side of the earth
Cheers

How Long Does It Take To Get Renewed License Sent

Bunraku

Last Sunday I watched a Bunraku play. Bunraku is Japanese puppet theater with almost life-size puppets, each of the doll is played by three people. One moves the feet of the doll, a move the left hand and the main player moves his right hand and head. The players are dressed entirely in black, only the head of the main players is not covered.

Unlike other kinds of puppet theater, but otherwise the players trying to hide. They run very selbstverstädnlich across the stage, the story should be as captivating that the audience can only see the puppets. The puppeteers themselves are not talking, by the side there is another small stage, kneeling on which the narrator and the shamisen player. The narrator reads / sings the text and the figures so their voices and their character. The narrator and shamisen players together and their lives are bound together. Previously she spent almost her entire life together.

The piece I saw was a typical Bunraku play, a tragic love story that ended in a double suicide. A man was deceived by his friend for money, and publicly humiliated, and that means loss of honor, of course, to ancient Japan and suicide. His mistress would not of course be left alone and so the two of them in the woods and the man has only his wife and then killed himself with a sword.

content is actually happening is not much more, the scenes were less supported by the plot, as of the constant representation of the tragedy on the stage and through text and shamisen. The coordination of the narrator and shamisen player was incredible, not looking at the timing has always worked. The Narrator has of course used a microphone and still has, for dynamic voice filled the whole hall with his voice.

In the final scene, the way in the forest and the suicide came suddenly five stories and five Shamisen player on the side stage and have sometimes together, sometimes alternately listed in the final. Again, the timing was perfect again and made sure that the end was really very emotional.

Here again we had small radios was transferred to an English explanation of the scenes. As we left the theater, then we have seen that even most Japanese audio guide had, but of course in Japanese. The piece is so old that have the subtitles that were in the opera appear discreetly next to the stage was not sufficient to make the play understandable by all.

A few days after the performance we have experienced it happens to be out that we were probably in a special presentation, as the female lead role was played by a very famous puppeteer. All in all, the evening was very impressive and Bunraku is highly recommended!

How Long Does Gingerbread Dough Stay Good

Nikko and Chinatown

About two hours north of Tokyo is the city of Nikko, the famous shrines and temples in Nikko National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site are. I have made on Thursday with two friends on the long trip (by Kawasaki from it takes about three and a half hours) and I considered including the mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu and his grandson Iemitsu, the first and third shogun of the Tokugawa dynasty. Unlike most other temples and shrines in Japan, the buildings in Nikko are decorated with detailed and colorful carvings, which are based clearly on the Chinese model. In Nikko, there is the famous carving of three wise monkeys, I have already mentioned in the last post. This is part of a small picture book showing the life of a young monkey.

The whole place is huge and Beautifully situated in the forest. Unfortunately, it was really cold, so that after a few hours than we had seen all that, quickly ate a hot ramen and have then warmed in a small tea room.

Japan - Nikko

On Saturday I was also in China Town in Yokohama, since today is Chinese New Year. That's pretty wound touristy, there are really only restaurants, grocery stores and souvenir shops. Nevertheless, it is a very interesting and beautiful area. Since the Festivities begin there probably until today, I have unfortunately seen a parade with dragons, but because the ceremony is to take two weeks, I have yet to opportunity. In the end we are in a Chinese restaurant and have eaten a 16-course menu, with things I have seen in Chinese restaurants in Germany before. Including jellyfish and pig's stomach. Contrary to German faith in China to eat only rice if you want to be cheap and fast enough, include regular meals in the restaurant rarely rice.

What Is A Illinois Driver License Look Like 21

half

The snow was (until now), unfortunately only a Einzeleregnis but it was really nice to see, as we have seen in the photo in the last entry, yes. Unfortunately this makes it of course also become correspondingly cold, but I need to tell you about it in Germany, probably nothing.

On Thursday there was a small farewell party here in the dormitory for the students who go back home soon, either because they have spent only half a year before me here or came to Japan. The whole has made clear to me only right that almost exactly half my time here in Japan is already over. There will also take much longer to Christine here. We have now booked all the hotels, if everything goes perfectly, we are to Cherry blossoms in Kyoto, and then for a few days on a small beach. The remaining time will be spent then in and around Tokyo.

morning (in Germany rather tonight) will once again take the Super Bowl almost every year and how I want it to me, of course not here to miss. Unfortunately, the time difference ensures that the kickoff is at 8 clock. I have some people from the modest residence said, let's see if anyone besides me could peel out of bed so early during the holidays.

Otherwise I will this week finally get out of the city and is expected to spend a day in Nikko. There is the carving through which the world the image of three monkeys has spread that hear no evil, see and speak. But more about that next time

Snow in Tokyo!

I had not even expected, and all Japanese people that I asked told me that it was very unwahrschienlich. But last night it actually snowed! Meanwhile, although everything is melted away again but it was very nice to get something from the snow, which all in Germany already seem to have the nose full. The picture is from the city of Kawasaki.
